Grateful- The Posture of Gratitude

edge
Generous- Showing a readiness to give more of something more than is strictly necessary or expected.

Matthew 10:8 (NIV) Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

The Posture of Gratitude. The attitude of gratitude.
Luke 10:17-20 When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, "Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!" "Yes," he told them, "I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you……..But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven."

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:15-17 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

“Our posture of gratefulness will increase our capacity to walk in peace!”

Mindsets that stifle a grateful spirit.
  1. Entitlement.
“What you are entitled to is so much less than what God promises you!”

  1. Victim Mentality.(entitlements roommate )
“God Loves you & you belong to Him, You are More than a conquerer!”

  1. Negativity
“When we protest “that’s the way I am” we are resisting the Lordship of Jesus!”
“Negativity comes out of those who have not nurtured an internal culture of gratefulness.”
