For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

When delight is right....

2. Prayers are perfected.

Acquiring Delight
1. Look at him

that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
*See, to
drink deep: Behold OR GAZE.

We become what we behold. We receive how we perceive.
Isaiah 60:5 (NIV) You will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy.

2. Look to Him
Where are you looking?
Delighting is a decision based entirely on where we set our attention.
Psalm 34:5 (NLT) Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

Posture your heart towards his presence.
Psalm 16:11 (NIV) You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

3. Remain in Him
1 Peter 1:8(TPT) You love him passionately although you did not see him, but through believing in him you are saturated with an ecstatic joy, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory

John 15:7-11 (NLT) But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! 8 When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father. 9 “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. 10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

Acts 3:19 (NIV) Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.

Romans 15:13 (NIV)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
