Who Will Roll Away The Stone? Easter 2025

Mark 16:2–6 (NLT)
2 Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. 3 On the way they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” 4 But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside. 5 When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, 6 but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead!

“Who will roll away the stone for us?”

John 8:7 (NLT) They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!”

John 8:10–11 (NLT) 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” 11 “No, Lord,” she said.  And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

“Jesus doesn’t just offer forgiveness of sin but freedom from sin.”

John 8:12 (NLT)  “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.

John 8:24 (NLT) “For unless you believe that I Am who I claim to be, you will die in your sins.”

John 8:58–59 (NLT) 58 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!” 59 At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple.

John 11:25 (NLT) “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying.

“Regardless of any sinful, sticky, messy situation, Jesus can provide a way out.”
