Provisions of The Comforter “Comfortable is not promised; The Comforter is.”

John 14:26–27 (NLT) 26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. 27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
Supernatural Peace. Philippians 4:6–7 (NLT) Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
2. Confirming our identity Ephesians 1:13-14(NLT) …When you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people.
Romans 8:14–16 (NLT) 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. 15 So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.” 16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.
“The accuser questions your identity while The Comforter confirms your identity.
3. Correction
“While the Holy Spirit does not condemn believers, HE does correct them.”
Hebrews 12:8(NLT) If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. “Correction from the Holy Spirit is not condemning our identity but confirming it.”
Proverbs 12:1(NLT) To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.
4. Counsel John 14:26 (NLT) When the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
John 16:13(NLT) When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth.
5. Confiding in us. John 15:15(NLT) I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.
